How to Rename Variables

In some cases, before updating the report with the new data, you may need to rename variables in the data set file. For example, if the variable in the new data set has been renamed from "Gender" to "Sex." This article describes how Chartrics enables you to change variable names in the data set file linked to your PowerPoint presentation, letting you automatically update your report without manually matching old and new variables.

 

Method

  1. In Chart Maker, double click on the desired Variable in the data pane
  2. Type a new name > Save

 

Optional* Right-click on the Variable from the left panel Choose > Rename > Type a new variable name > Save.
