Keeping presentations up to date with the latest data is often one of the most time-consuming parts of reporting – especially in PowerPoint, where charts pasted from other tools must be manually recreated slide by slide.
Chartrics eliminates that bottleneck: with its built-in automation, Chartrics allows you to refresh entire PowerPoint presentations in seconds using updated datasets in Excel, CSV, or SPSS – while preserving all chart formatting, layout, and filters. This can reduce up to 70% of the time spent on manual updates.
Automated updates save time and reduce errors by streamlining the process of refreshing your reports. Whether for regularly scheduled tracking studies or ad-hoc analyses, Chartrics makes keeping your data current effortless.
For recurring reports delivered on a regular schedule (weekly, monthly, quarterly), Chartrics lets you reuse your existing deck and simply update it with new data – no need to start from scratch or manually adjust each chart.
Traditional PowerPoint workflows require re-copying visuals from external BI tools. With Chartrics, one click is all it takes.
Even for one-time reports, automation is valuable.
For example:
Once full data is collected, simply refresh the same presentation with the final dataset – preserving all visual structure and effort. Important Note: Your report must be built using Chartrics Chart Maker in order to enable automated updates.
Chartrics allows you to keep presentations dynamic, accurate, and ready to deliver – even as your data evolves:
1. In PowerPoint, go to the Chartrics tab
2. Open the presentation from My Projects that you want to update
*Tip: To keep the original version, make a copy before proceeding
3. In the Chartrics toolbar, under Report Update, click Replace Data Source
4. Select your existing dataset or upload a new one
5. If variable names have changed, use the mapping step to match old and new fields
6. Click Next – all linked charts will refresh automatically
