How to Create a PowerPoint Presentation with Linked Data?

To build a dynamic, data-driven presentation, follow the steps below to connect your PowerPoint file to your Excel workbook using the Chartrics PowerPoint Add-in.
Save

Save Your Presentation to the Cloud

Once the add-in is installed, start by saving your PowerPoint presentation to Chartrics Cloud to enable data syncing:
Click the Save icon on the Chartrics toolbar
Select an existing Project, or create a New Project, then click Save
Link

Connect Your Workbook to PowerPoint Charts

Now, link your Cloud-based workbook to your PowerPoint visuals:
Insert a chart using either: PowerPoint's built-in chart options, or Chartrics Custom Charts found under the "Charts" section of the Chartrics tab
Right-click the chart and select Chart Maker

In the Chart Maker canvas:

Select your Workbook from the dropdown in the top-left corner
Choose the relevant Table, then drag variables into the Row and Column shelves
Click Apply to generate the chart
Repeat this process for each chart you want to link to a data table
Refresh

Once Set Up, Updating is Instant

After the initial setup, refreshing your entire report with new data is easy. Simply open your updated workbook and click:
Chartrics → Report Update → Recalculate
All linked slides will update in one click – with accurate, presentation-ready charts and tables.
